Emily Drake has been teaching music in some capacity since the age of 16, when she would teach piano to her babysitting children. She pursued music through college and graduate school, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Union University, and a Master’s in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Samford University.

She has extensive experience teaching PreK music classes, piano classes, and private piano lessons at Cary School of Music, Durham School of Music, Duke School, Neighborhood Music School, and has served as adjunct professor of piano at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She also has hosted a variety of music camps in local churches. Her efforts for music advocacy are extensive and there is nothing she loves more than inspiring students to love music!
