Studio Policies

This Studio Policy sets forth the standards and expectations that I have for each student that I instruct. To help all of my students learn in a professional setting and in an organized manner, I ask parents to review this Studio Policy so that everyone is on the same page with what is expected. While we can make exceptions for the unexpected event that arises, this Studio Policy sets out the general guidelines. Please let me know if you have any questions

Student Absences:

I do not give credits or refunds for lessons missed by a student. If a student provides advance notice of an expected absence and if the reason for the absence is in the judgement of the studio beyond the reasonable control of the student (e.g. illness, inclement weather, etc.), then the I may provide make-up lessons if a time slot is available. The offering of a make-up lesson will be within my discretion.

Teacher Absences:

Illness or other emergencies may arise which prevent the teacher from offering a lesson at a scheduled time. If the teacher is unable to provide a scheduled lesson due to illness or other reasons, make-up lessons will be scheduled at a time when the student and teacher are available.

Make-up Week:

The semester includes 15 total weeks of lessons/classes. A make-up week has been built into the semester schedule to account for teacher or student absences from illness, professional commitments, or other approved absences. Whenever possible, I will provide advance notice of the teacher absence to the parent and will reschedule if necessary to provide each student the 15 scheduled lessons.

Student Termination:

If a student decides for whatever reason to stop taking lessons or attending classes, no refunds or credits will be provided for any pre-paid lessons/classes. All unpaid fees must be paid prior to termination.
